Our family has had a very difficult year with our beloved pets. Our golden retriever, Mochi, died in March and this month Rachel's precious rabbit, Mr. Bunny, passed away. Then this weekend, Socks, Brandon's childhood dog, joined Mochi and Mr. B by the Rainbow Bridge. This is really not meant as an art set, but as a tribute to one of the sweetest rabbits that ever lived. I can't bring myself to work on a set for Mochi yet because my emotions are still too raw. I'm hoping I can get to it soon, maybe once I have my cataract surgery and can see what I'm doing. Cataracts and tears are not a good combination when trying to do artwork.

I made this set for the birth of my twin grand daughters, Courtney and Caroline. It's the first set I've done in over a year so I'm a bit rusty but it felt good creating in Polyvore again.

I just put in an application to "GRRAND" Golden Retriever Rescue and Adoption of Needy Dogs. They have a 10 1/2 year old golden available and the moment I saw her it was love at first sight. The first night I saw her I kept thinking about Mochi, who will be 9 in a couple of months, and how she would feel if she were separated from our family at this stage in her life.I didn't sleep much that night. I knew I had to offer this sweet Golden, named Ginger, a "forever home". Please say a prayer that it works out for us. I'm sending out all the positive energy I can, as are my friends and family. Many people who want to adopt rescue dogs look for puppies or fairly young animals. But because of my age and Mochi's, I think an older dog would suit us perfectly.You can see this little sweetie on my Facebook page.
